- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and insightful financial projections.
- Monitor financial performance and variances, analyzing trends and making strategic recommendations.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide actionable insights based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Cash Management and Risk Mitigation:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital efficiency.
- Identify and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Oversee credit control and collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Financial Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, payments, and expense management.
- Implement efficient financial processes and controls to maintain accuracy and transparency.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Financial Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Fundraising Strategy:
- Collaborate with the executive team to formulate a fundraising strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.

- Evaluate and recommend the optimal funding mix to support the company's expansion plans.
- Pitch Development:
- Develop our data-driven pitch materials that effectively communicate the company's value proposition, growth potential, and financial outlook.
- Craft persuasive investor presentations and financial models that showcase the startup's vision and opportunities.
- Investor Due Diligence:
- Lead due diligence processes, working closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth and thorough investor reviews.
- Prepare necessary documents and information to address investor inquiries and concerns.
- Negotiation and Deal Closure:
- Negotiate investment terms and conditions, balancing the interests of the company and investors.
- Coordinate legal and financial aspects of fundraising agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Strategy Alignment:
- Collaborate with the CFO and finance team to ensure fundraising initiatives align with the company's overall financial strategy.
- Provide insights to the executive team based on investor feedback and market trends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong academic record.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar senior finance role, preferably within the Technology SaaS industry.
- Solid understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue, and subscription-based pricing.
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills.
- Proficient in financial software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and time management skills.
- Proven track record in fundraising and investor relations within the startup ecosystem.
