As part of their commitment to strategic financial management, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Finance Director to join their dynamic team.
This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule of hybrid working. Initially 4 days per week, then in time reducing to 2 days per week.
We are looking for a talented and strategic-minded Finance Director to oversee the financial operations of our company on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and executing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation.
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity.
- Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and improve financial resilience.
- Financial Compliance:
- Oversee compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and other statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Financial Systems and Controls:
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement best practices to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in a professional services or related industry is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office suite.
