- Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Cost Management and Profitability:
- Monitor and analyze costs and expenses to optimize profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost control and efficiency improvement.
- Conduct product cost analysis and pricing reviews to support pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Cash Flow Management and Treasury:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational needs.
- Forecast cash flow requirements, optimize cash holdings, and manage financing activities.
- Maintain banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms with financial institutions.
- Implement strategies for risk management and foreign exchange transactions.
- Financial Strategy and Business Development:
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and assess risks.
- Collaborate with the executive team in developing business plans and financial models.
- Support business development initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial understanding and decision-making.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Part-Time Finance Director - Northampton - East Midlands
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior finance leadership role within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and compliance in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in cost management, profitability analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
