This is a fully remote role, though there will be ocassional meetings in Central London. The role is for 4 days per month initially. Inside of IR35
Job Description - We are a dynamic and fast-growing digital marketing agency based in London, UK. We specialize in providing comprehensive digital marketing solutions to businesses of all sizes and industries. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Finance Director to join our team and provide strategic financial guidance and oversight.
As a Part-Time Finance Director, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the financial operations of our digital marketing business. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that support our growth objectives. Your specific duties will include:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborating with the executive team to develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Conducting financial analysis and forecasting to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Monitoring and analyzing key financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly financial statements, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management and Treasury:
- Managing cash flow to optimize working capital and ensure adequate liquidity.
- Overseeing accounts receivable and payable processes, including credit control and vendor management.
- Implementing effective treasury management practices, including cash forecasting and investment strategies.
- Financial Operations and Controls:
- Establishing and maintaining robust financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Monitoring internal controls and recommending improvements to mitigate financial risks.
- Managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Collaborating with the executive team to evaluate potential investment opportunities and assess their financial viability.
- Participating in contract negotiations and ensuring financial terms are favorable for the company.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial role, preferably within the digital marketing industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Availability to work part-time hours, with flexibility to accommodate peak periods and financial reporting deadlines.
