They are now looking to recruit a part-time FD.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Part-Time Finance Director to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide financial leadership and oversight, helping to guide the company’s financial strategy and operations. This role is critical in ensuring our financial health and supporting our growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board and stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support cross-functional teams with financial expertise and guidance.
- Cost Control and Efficiency:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
- Review and approve major expenditures and capital investments.
- ducation:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, ideally in the aggregates or haulage industry.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in financial software and tools.
