As they continue to expand our operations,they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time CFO to join our team and contribute to the financial success of the organisation.
Position Overview: As the Part-Time CFO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of our company. Working closely with the executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the fiscal health of the organisation. This is a part-time position, requiring a commitment of one day per, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the business.
The start date is Feb or March 2024, with interviews early in the New Year.
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial goals.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts to support informed decision-making.
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Present financial reports to the executive team, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity and efficient use of resources.
- Implement effective cash management policies and procedures.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Financial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.
- Work with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Strategic Financial Decision Support:
- Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate investment opportunities and assess financial feasibility.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or relevant professional qualification preferred).
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in the property development or real estate industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Day rate £650 to £700 per day.
