FD Capital are recruiting for a fast-growing technology company based in London, UK, specialising in the domain registration and webhosting space. As they continue to expand our operations and pursue new business opportunities, they are seeking an experienced Interim CFO to join their team and provide strategic financial leadership during a transitional period.
As the Interim CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management within our technology business. You will collaborate closely with the executive team, providing valuable insights and guidance to support informed decision-making. This is a temporary position, expected to last 4 - 6 months during which you will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategies and ensuring stability and growth.
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals, vision, and market conditions.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to support effective resource allocation and decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize working capital and ensure sufficient liquidity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing robust internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Investor Relations: Collaborate with stakeholders, including investors and board members, to provide financial insights and reports, contributing to the company's overall investor relations strategy.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Lead financial due diligence and integration efforts for potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, working closely with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Systems and Processes: Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven Experience: Extensive experience as a CFO, preferably in the technology industry or similar high-growth sectors.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial and analytical skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex financial operations.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights to support business growth and profitability.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
- Professional Qualifications: A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. Additional certifications such as CFA or CPA are highly desirable.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Mergers and Acquisitions Experience: Proven experience in leading financial due diligence and integration efforts in mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships is an asset.
- Technology Industry Understanding: Familiarity with the unique financial challenges and opportunities faced by technology businesses is preferred.
