Job Title: Fractional CFO
Location: 95% Remote with occasional visits to London
Compensation: £800 - £1,000 per day
Time Commitment: 2-3 days per week

As their long-serving CFO transitions to retirement, they are seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic CFO to join our team on a fractional basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial future of a dynamic company while working closely with a visionary CEO and a well-established finance team led by a hands-on Finance Director (FD).
Role Overview: As the Fractional CFO, you will step into a critical leadership role, focusing on cash management, cost evaluations, and overall financial strategy. Your expertise will be vital in driving efficiency, ensuring financial stability, and supporting the company's ambitious growth plans. This role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to our London office for key meetings and collaboration with the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cash management strategies to optimize the company’s liquidity and working capital.
- Conduct in-depth cost evaluations to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Director (FD) to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and senior leadership team to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting standards.
- Partner with the CEO and private equity investors to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
- Oversee financial reporting and present financial performance insights to the board and investors.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a CFO, with a strong background in cash management and cost evaluations.
- Proven track record in a service and/or technology business, ideally within a private equity-backed environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and the use of financial software and tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining close collaboration with the executive team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to London for key meetings and strategic discussions.
