Role Summary: As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's financial health. You will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, implementing robust financial strategies, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. Your insights will directly impact decision-making processes and the strategic direction of the company.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they are completed timely and accurately.
- Manage all aspects of the accounting operations, including the ledger accounts, payroll, receivables, and payables.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic insights to optimize financial performance.
- Collaborate with senior management to review financial data, identify trends, and address financial challenges.
- Ensure tax compliance and efficient tax planning, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Implement and manage financial systems and software to streamline operations.
- Participate in strategic planning and provide financial analysis for investment decisions, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role within a SaaS or technology company.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other financial regulations applicable in the UK.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing a finance team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
