Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, driving financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. - Develop and execute financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's growth objectives and investor expectations.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and tax planning.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to the executive team, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify key performance indicators, monitor financial health, and provide strategic insights to drive business growth.
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to develop financial models and business plans to support fundraising efforts and investor relations activities.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timely reporting.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate budgets, monitor actual performance, and provide variance analysis.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability as the company grows.
- Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and industry trends, advising the executive team on potential impacts and opportunities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, financial modeling, and analysis.
- Experience in managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance, particularly related to SaaS and technology companies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with investors, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software applications and advanced knowledge of Excel.
