- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's objectives and support the property sector.
- Oversee all financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor key financial metrics, analyze variances, and provide insights to improve performance and drive profitability.
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions to secure funding and optimize capital structure.
- Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for property development projects and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop business plans, financial models, and strategies to support growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial obligations within the property sector.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial guidance to department heads and project teams.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks related to property investments, such as market fluctuations, valuation, and funding requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the property sector, providing strategic advice to the executive team.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on the property sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices within the property industry, including property development, investment, and management.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within the property sector.
- Excellent understanding of property market dynamics, valuation methods, and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
- Experience in managing complex financial operations, including multiple projects, portfolios, and investment vehicles.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance specific to the property sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor finance professionals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software applications and advanced MS Excel skill
