Our client is a leading London based company operating in the automotive sector and are focussed on the delivery of net zero.
They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join their team. The Finance Director will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the company and ensuring the financial health and stability of the company as they continue to grow and expand their operations.
This is a full time but client would consider candidates interested in 3 or 4 days per week, pro-rata. it's a hybrid role so not essential that candidates are London based for the whole time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy Development: Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives. Provide strategic guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support long-term growth and profitability.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Budget Management: Lead the budgeting process and monitor budget variances to ensure financial targets are met. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements across all aspects of the business.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for financial audits and reporting obligations.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders. Provide transparent and accurate financial information to support decision-making and investor relations activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to build a high-performing finance organization.
Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and financial reporting principles.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
