Position Overview:
As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the finance team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business and providing strategic financial guidance to support our growth objectives.
- inancial Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals.
- Create annual budgets, financial forecasts, and projections to ensure sound financial planning and resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and present actionable insights to inform decision-making.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry standards.
- Implement robust internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets.
- Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage liquidity and cash flow to optimize working capital and support ongoing operations.
- Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, investments, and foreign exchange transactions.
- Financial Operations:
- Supervise the finance team, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to achieve departmental goals.
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Business Analysis and Decision Support:
- Collaborate with business units to evaluate new projects, investments, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Present financial performance, forecasts, and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
- Establish effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Oversee the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies and manage responses to inquiries or audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
- Accountancy Qualification ACA,ACCA, CIMA
- Proven experience (8+ years) in finance leadership roles within the Financial Services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs.
