As they continue to grow and expand their operations, thjey are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join the executive team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and financial health of the company.
This is a hybrid role 4 days per week
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Play a critical role in strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to improve short-term and long-term financial performance and business growth.
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and forecasts, providing financial insights that support decision-making across all business areas.
- Cash Flow Management: Ensure efficient management of the company’s cash flow to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Investment Strategy: Evaluate and advise on long-term business planning and financial strategies, including investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with partners, investors, and external financial entities. Communicate financial performance and strategy effectively to stakeholders.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly growing business.
- Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the organization.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements relating to financial management and reporting. Implement effective risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within the e-commerce or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business models and the pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory environment.
- Proven track record of success in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving business objectives.
