As they continue to expand, they seek an experienced and strategic Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team and provide financial insights that will drive business performance.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost management, and performance metrics.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior management and department heads to provide financial guidance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Reporting: Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key financial trends and insights.
  • Strategic Planning: Support long-term strategic planning by providing financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Risk Management: Assess financial risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, and provide insights into variances.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support various ad hoc financial projects and analyses as required by the Finance Director and senior management.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Professional accounting or financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in finance, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a business partnering role, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) are essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management.
