Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join their dynamic team. The Finance Director will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the financial health and stability of the organisation. This individual will work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and guidance to support business growth and success.
This is a hydrid role working from home and the clients London Office
Hand over from the interim FD to manage the continuing transition from a group company to a fully independent business.
- Take over and integrate existing centralised group roles into the company
- Integration of business units within a group function
- Move the statutory accounts to a new set of company Auditors (UK and Ireland)
- Develop the internal and external financial controls, policies and procedures to support the three legal entities
- Develop a Cash Management strategy
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop an independent Tax Strategy
Establish a Treasury function focusing particularly on the management of cash resources.
- Ensure the required investment for planned development is in place
- Manage the E-Commerce banking relationship and ensure that the relevant systems and bank accounts are in place and operational
Work with the CEO and management in developing a financial plan that reflects the strategic growth plan for FY25 and beyond
- Implement and monitor the growth plan
- Drive the financial planning of the company by getting into the detail and analysing its performance and risks
- Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process
- Develop new business models required to evaluate and implement strategic decisions
- Improve and develop the monthly reporting process working closely with the wider leadership team
Develop and lead an outstanding finance team
- Current team is provided by a 3rd party on an outsourced basis
- Assess it’s performance and value and make recommendations on long-term options to the CEO
The successful candidate will take responsibility for their own professional development, learning and performance, ensuring that their skillset remains current and appropriate for the needs of the business
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Extensive senior level accountancy experience.
- Demonstrable ability to operate with credibility at board level
- Experience of both corporate and private equity ownership
- E-Commerce and preferably software experience in a Finance Director role
- Flexibility to deliver in an agile and fast-paced environment
- Healthcare industry knowledge an advantage
- International experience of the Irish and European healthcare markets
- Ecommerce ERP or inventory management implementation
