As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in shaping and managing the financial strategy and operations of our company. - Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and plans to support the company's overall objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to provide financial insights and recommendations for business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and prepare accurate financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing recommendations for cost management and revenue enhancement.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, including monitoring liquidity, optimizing working capital, and ensuring adequate funding for business operations and growth initiatives.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Monitor compliance with legal, tax, and financial regulations.
- Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial systems. Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Provide financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, new product development, and market expansion.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance financial knowledge and skills.
Part-Time Finance Director - Poole - Dorset
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, preferably in the food industry or related sectors.
- Strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience with financial modeling and ERP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a finance team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
